What artists influence you and is there an artist you'd like to work with?

Aly and Aj are my biggest influence. They actually inspired me to play the guitar. They are so talented. Celine Dion is also a big influence.

What kind of message do you want your music to convey?

Music is a great way for me to communicate what I’m thinking and feeling. For example, Goodbyes was written after experiencing having to say Goodbye to one of my best friends because she was moving away. So many other people have written saying they too have had that same experience. If I had to choose one message, I suppose that it would be that anything is possible. I’m doing what I’ve always dreamed of doing. Don’t let anything get in the way of your dreams!

What's the best part of performing live?

The rush before going on stage is crazy! Being on stage hearing the crowd scream and seeing them sing along with me is pretty awesome too!. I admit, I was a little sad after the Nat & Alex tour ended. I feel like we became good friends. We laughed and made so many fun memories and at the end of the tour everyone went their separate ways:( We text each other occasionally to keep in touch…

Tell us a little about your new CD and what your working on now?

Well right now I'm recording and writing for the album. Its going to be pop/rock. I'm really excited to get in the studio and record more songs. My new single will be out early February. We are shooting the video for the single in January so that will be a lot of fun! I’ll also be writing more with Liz Rose, whom I’ve written one song with already. Liz wrote 7 of the 11 songs on the first Taylor Swift project.

What kind of letters do you get from fans?

I get a lot of awesome letters from my fans. They are so sweet. Especially when they make me things, like scrapbooks. It means so much to me because they put so much time and effort into them. My fans from Baltimore had these bracelets made for me that say follow your dreams and savannahoutenonline.com which is their fansite for me. I wear them all the time.

Tell us something that your fans probably don't know about you.

I'm a pretty awesome jump roper (haha). I was on a competitive team when I was in elementary school. Its so much fun! I also dance hip-hop and ballet…
